Intro!

Hey guys,

Cale Rainkie here, and I've been thinking about getting into airsoft for quite a while. Started out with paintball with my older brother, but I feel like I needed something more... Paintball is starting to move more heavily into the woodball/sim direction, and I was more of a speedball player, but with the team disbanded and no other interest, I figured I'd just go do the real thing instead. I'm 19, and currently a second year student at University of Alberta, majoring in Biological Sciences (Moving to a specialization in Immunology and Infection.) Waiting to get verified on ASC (Sent an email to... Zero I think. If anyone else reads this that's an AVer, getting AV'd would be awesome Razz

) I also enjoy snowboarding, but haven't had the time to go recently.

Looking forward to playing with you guys in the Edmonton area.

Hey, if you're going to Panorama Mountain Resort any time soon (ie. reading week) PM me. I've got a great deal that you probably won't want to miss out on (except unless you have your own snowboard equipment).

Anyways, it will be awesome let me tell you, however with airsoft it's more of a milsim environment and the closest you'll probably get to speedball is CQB or smaller day scrims. Other than that, have fun with it, it's not supposed to be "hardcore" it's supposed to be fun (unless you actually like sleeping out in crappy conditions and you get your fun from playing in crazy milsim games).

Yeah, I've got my own equipment, and I might be hitting up Sunshine or Louise on break. But thanks for the offer.

And I know it'll be a bit slower, haven't really decided if I will be doing the milsim/woods stuff or CQB, both seem interesting. I'll check them both out and decide later.

Welcome, I to switched from paintball but to be honest paintball milsim and airsoft are totaly diffrent Airsoft is like 10x better for it and everything cause people actualy dress/ act their roles in the game makes it really fun lol XD

Welcome... I came over from paintball as well, but I was doing the woodsball... I have found airsoft to be so much netter and cheaper... Hope to see you out at some games... Razz
